The Terminator is a much beloved franchise that started in the 80’s from the visionary director James Cameron. A complete reboot, (instead of retelling or retcon, like the last few films) is currently in the works, with the franchise’s original helmer, James Cameron set to producing it.
Deadpool’s director Tim Miller will direct the film, which will feature the original cast, whicj include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. David Goyer (Man of Steel, Krypton) is set to pen the script.
Deadline has confirmed that Gabriel Luna (best known as Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider in ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the El Rey Network drama series, Matador) is set to play the new T-800 (a.k.a The Terminator), a role which was made famous by Schwarzenegger, in the mid-80s.
Two new actors are also reportedly set to join the cast of the untitled reboot. Columbian actress Natalia Reyes (Lady, La Vendedora De Rosas) Mexican-Born Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages and Netflix’s Original SCI-FI Thriller, The Titan.) was also announced to join the cast.
However, it is too early to know what roles they will play in the film, we will surely keep readers posted, once the updates are announced.
