Domhnall Gleeson In Negotiations To Join DC/Vertigo’s ‘The Kitchen’

According to an exclusive from THR, Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) is in final negotiations to join The Kitchen.

Gleeson is set to play Gabriel O’Malley, a Vietnam veteran turned hitman. He works for local gangsters before leaving town in order to avoid capture by the police. O’Malley returns to take care of unfinished business when the wives take over.

The Irish gangs of Hell’s Kitchen rule the neighborhood, bringing terror to the streets and doing the dirty work for the Italian Mafia. Jimmy Brennan and his crew were the hardest bastards in the Kitchen, but after they’re all put in prison, their wives – Kath, Raven and Angie – decide to keep running their rackets. And once they get a taste of the fast life and easy money, it won’t be easy to stop.

 

The film stars Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, Elizabeth Moss as the wives. The cast also includes Margo Martindale, Bill Camp, and Brian d’Arcy James. 

Straight Outta Compton co-writer scribes and makes her directorial debut on The Kitchen. The movie is scheduled to release Sep. 20, 2019!
